Hey there, I’m Peggy!

My writing journey kicked off in the third grade when my teacher made me write a poem. I protested and got sent to the hallway to write that "stupid poem. " Two weeks later, I was announced as the contest winner over the loudspeaker. That moment was a game-changer for me. Thanks, Mrs. Ferike!

My Promise

I'll give it my all for you. I won't cut corners or rush through to save time. I'm a down-to-earth woman who'll always keep it real with you. There is no sugarcoating here.

While working on a Master of Library Science degree several years ago, a local author who knew I was a long-time educator asked if I’d be interested in editing his book. I took him up on his offer. I was immediately hooked, and I have been book-editing ever since.

My down-to-earth philosophy toward editing is about teamwork. I liken the production of books to pregnancy. An author’s story is like a mother nurturing her expectant child instead of mindlessly relying on doctors and nurses to “breathe life” into the finished product. So, too, I believe authors shouldn’t thoughtlessly rely on editors to complete their prized work but instead engage in a back-and-forth editing process, a process I guarantee from beginning to completion. That process is also why authors enjoy working with me and keep returning with their new projects.
